As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day! That said, many of us skip this important meal—especially if running behind schedule. I’ve also armed myself with more education about nutrition and methodically choosing healthier options. I’ve discovered overnight oats, the perfect morning fuel.
Anyone who is conscious of their food intake, instant oatmeal can become your favorite go-to meals. It’s healthy and quick, what can be better?! And then upon discovering overnight oats, your mornings will be changed, for the better 🌞
WHAT ARE OVERNIGHT OATS?
Overnight oats are exactly what the name claims they are, oats you prepare overnight. You can alter my recipe (included below) to suit your taste and favorite toppings. However, two basic ingredients remain the same…oats and your preferred liquid like per example almond or oats milk. Keeping everything cold, instead of the usual hot, allows all the ingredients to form overnight.
For those of you who like to create your own things, you can most definitely add anything to this recipe. If you’re a morning yogurt person, you can easily top off the oats with yogurt. If you’re a morning nut butter person, go ahead and top it off with a dollop of your favorite butter! I personally love to add berries and granola. Any healthy toping will work.
SPLURGE FOR AN ENERGY SURGE!
Ever since I have started experimenting with overnight oats I feel that it’s the perfect energy booster for the morning, particularly before high intensity training.
So, thanks to overnight oats my mornings are filled with a great surge of nutrition, for both my taste buds and my health! I encourage YOU to enjoy them, too 🙂
My recipe is below!!! ENJOY 😊
